Job Title: 2nd Shift Press Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 2nd Shift Press Tech to join our team. This role will train you into operating a Press Brake and involves working from 4:20 pm to 2:50 am, Monday to Thursday. The position is crucial in fabricating, assembling, and finishing products with precision using various machines and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all quality standards are met while minimizing waste and satisfying customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Identify and understand the functionality of a Press Brake.

Produce, stamp, fabricate, assemble, weld, and inspect products to meet or exceed production standards.

Operate precision stamping and pressing machines to form and bend metal to tight tolerances.

Read work orders and blueprints to set up dies and tools on machinery.

Troubleshoot and perform first part inspections to ensure machinery is operating correctly.

Ensure machinery is pressing accurately and effectively.

Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Experience in machine setup and changing over machinery.

Strong capability in shop math and troubleshooting.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with manufacturing and metalworking.

Familiarity with punch press, press brake, calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.

Mechanical inclination is a significant advantage.

Work Environment

This role is set in a dynamic manufacturing environment, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The team size varies from 3 to 8 people depending on the job and press area. While tasks may be independent, teamwork is essential. The facility is a job shop for metal stamping, where job tasks can change regularly. The environment is loud, so candidates will be provided with safety gear, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and protective sleeves. The dress code requires long work pants and layers for comfort.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
