Job Title: Painter - Industrial

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to support the Paint Department. Perform daily tasks including preparing surfaces to be painted and fill in defects to create an even surface. We are painting with pressure pots and gravity guns using epoxy primers and single stage paints. Job involves painting large and small items while doing occasional touch-ups. Painters are responsible for maintaining equipment for the jobs.

Responsibilities

Apply paint to diverse materials and surfaces using various techniques.

Set up and clean up paint equipment efficiently.

Mix paints and coatings to achieve desired colors and finishes.

Remove rust, fill holes and dents, and create smooth surfaces.

Mask off details and components to prepare surfaces for painting.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in painting and paint preparation.

Experience in industrial painting and sanding.

Experience with Pressure pots and gravity guns.

Skillful use of spray gun techniques.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with materials and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Current and valid United States driver's license.

Reliable transportation.

Willing to submit a background check and drug test.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled facility with two large paint booths. The schedule includes a 3/12 work week, Monday through Wednesday from 6am to 6pm OR Thursday - Saturday. Due to current demands, additional hours may be required temporarily. Enjoy holidays, vacation, and PTO in a stable and supportive environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
