Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in the accurate and efficient movement of materials through the facility. This position focuses on receiving, handling, storing, and shipping products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The role also supports inventory control activities and contributes to a collaborative, small-team environment.
Responsibilities
Receive and unload incoming materials, verifying packing slips against purchase orders to confirm shipment accuracy.
Process return shipments from customers as needed, ensuring proper documentation and handling.
Sort, count, package, and unpack inbound and outbound materials to prepare them for storage or shipment.
Use handheld barcode scanners to complete all required inbound and outbound material documentation.
Prepare shipments for transport by selecting the most economical and efficient shipping methods.
Choose appropriate shipping containers and pack products securely to ensure safe delivery.
Enter data for orders accurately and in a timely manner to support order processing and tracking.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate material handling techniques.
Build pallets according to shipping and storage requirements, ensuring stability and safety.
Maintain pallet racks and aisles in an organized, clean, and safe condition.
Band and wrap skids and construct boxes to secure products for storage and shipment.
Assist with inventory management, including performing physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
Support general material handling and picking activities to fulfill customer orders accurately.
Serve as an active member of the warehouse team, providing assistance to coworkers as needed.
Keep the supervisor informed of key issues, discrepancies, safety concerns, and process improvements.
Follow and uphold all safety-related regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
Perform general labor tasks in the warehouse as required to support daily operations.
Carry out other duties as assigned to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Essential Skills
Experience with material handling in a warehouse or similar environment.
Ability to perform picking and order preparation tasks accurately and efficiently.
Proficiency in using handheld barcode or RF scanners for inventory and order processing.
Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
Basic data entry skills to input and update order and inventory information.
Ability to count inventory accurately and maintain correct stock levels.
Basic reading and math skills to follow instructions, verify documents, and complete counts.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely for packing, building pallets, and related tasks.
Attention to detail when sorting, counting, and preparing products for shipment.
Commitment to following safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience preparing orders for shipment, including packing, labeling, and documentation.
Experience in building pallets and banding and wrapping skids for secure transport.
Familiarity with general labor tasks in a warehouse setting.
Comfort working in a small, collaborative team environment.
Strong communication skills to keep supervisors and team members informed of key issues.

Work Environment

The environment involves regular standing, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as frequent use of handheld barcode or RF scanners, hand tools, and power tools. The role is hands-on and active, with a focus on safe material handling, organized pallet racks and aisles, and efficient order flow. The setting supports teamwork and cross-training, as team members assist each other across various warehouse tasks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
