Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, leads multiple projects and workstreams to align recruiting strategies with business objectives. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to anticipate talent needs, developing innovative sourcing approaches, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance hiring outcomes. The position requires managing cross-functional partnerships, coaching team members, and driving continuous improvement through agile methodologies. By overseeing talent acquisition initiatives and optimizing candidate experiences, the Senior Manager ensures the organization attracts and retains high-quality talent while supporting strategic workforce planning and operational excellence.
About the team:
The Walmart Global Tech Talent Acquisition team leads strategic technology hiring across multiple U.S. business units, supporting engineering, data, product, and infrastructure growth. Acting as strategic talent advisors, the team partners with senior leaders on workforce planning, skill segmentation, and hiring velocity. Utilizing market intelligence, data insights, and structured assessments, they enhance hiring quality and build long-term capabilities. The team excels in managing complex, high-volume technical recruitment while influencing organizational design and business outcomes. Their efforts drive business transformation, strengthen technical expertise, and establish sustainable hiring models that support Walmart's innovation and growth.
What you'll do:
Lead hiring strategy and delivery across multiple U.S.-based technology Engineering and Data Science organizations.
Translate workforce plans into structured, forward-looking hiring strategies aligned to business priorities and technical roadmaps.
Manage and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Associates, setting clear performance expectations tied to speed, quality, and stakeholder impact.
Partner directly with senior technology leaders to provide talent market insights, compensation guidance, and hiring trade-off recommendations.
Use recruiting analytics to assess pipeline health & and drive data-informed decisions.
Establish disciplined operating rhythms, including sprint planning, hiring reviews, and performance dashboards.
Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and digital enablement
What you'll bring:
Demonstrated success leading strategic technical hiring across technical Engineering & Data Science organizations.
Direct people leadership experience managing and developing Talent Acquisition Associates or recruiters.
Strong analytical capability with experience translating recruiting data into actionable business insight.
Experience advising senior technical leaders on workforce planning, market feasibility, and hiring strategy.
Deep understanding of software engineering, platform, and AI/ML talent markets.
Proven ability to build scalable, repeatable recruiting programs in complex, fast-paced environments.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and guide data-backed decisions.
Operational discipline and experience implementing structured recruiting frameworks.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
