What You Will Do:
Work on an agile team responsible for developing and delivering software for one of the MDS Department's programs.
Specific responsibilities include:
and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.
Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time application software and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
What You Will Learn:
A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures.
Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
Software lifecycle practices for defense projects.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++, Python, Ada, or similar.
Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems.
Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket/Artifactory, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible.
Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Red Hat and Linux Operating Systems.
Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.
Experience working closely and directly within a team environment.
Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
Knowledge of common skills for software application development

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
