Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator where you will play a pivotal role in the production of diamond blades and core bits for the construction, stone, and mining industries. You will be responsible for operating machinery that cuts and grinds a variety of materials. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment, with cross-training in multiple areas to enhance your skills.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain production machines, ensuring efficiency and safety.

Perform cross-training in various departments including dressing, packaging, painting, grinding, CET printing & stamping.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and maintain a keen eye for quality checks.

Assist in radius grinding by handling small parts to shave off segments.

Act as a material picker to supply the production line as needed.

Operate laser welding machines and ensure the quality of welds.

Engrave products using a laser stamper.

Measure and cut arbors using laser cutters or machines.

Essential Skills

At least 1 year of machine operator experience.

Ability to lift 35-50 lbs.

Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills, including experience with Windows applications.

Basic math skills.

General labor, packaging, and production skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Willingness to learn and assist in various production departments.

Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Excellent attendance is crucial for this role.

Work Environment

The work environment is a warehouse setting with erratic temperature control, subject to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particles. Employees will operate large equipment and machinery, requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes and safety glasses. The role involves frequent lifting of up to 35 lbs, standing or sitting for extended periods, and repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
