The Advanced Materials Manager will be a leader in developing, planning, and executing strategies to support successful new product launches and optimize material handling, inventory control, and logistics operations across the enterprise. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements, forecasting and planning for future material management needs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a proactive leader with strong project management skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate across teams to achieve operational excellence and support business growth. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related field. Experience: 5-7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or materials management. 2-3 years in experience in a leadership or managerial position overseeing teams and managing projects. Deep understanding of lean materials management. Demonstrated experience implementing material flow techniques that deliver improved material handling efficiencies. Strong background in developing and implementing inventory control standards that improve inventory accuracy and increase inventory turnover. Advanced knowledge and experience utilizing and optimizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Proven experience in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing safer, more efficient practices across operations. Strong leadership skills with experience in managing, mentoring, and developing teams. Ability to inspire and drive performance and lead through influence. Experience utilizing CBA - Choosing By Advantages decision making methodology. Travel: Up to 25% depending on business needs Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead a team of direct reports in developing, planning, and executing processes and strategies to support successful new product launches across the enterprise. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and implement improved methods of material handling, material presentation, and inventory control. Forecast and strategically plan for future material management requirements including warehousing, equipment, and human resources, to effectively manage growth and demand fluctuations while maintaining optimal performance. Identify opportunities to collaborate with supply chain partners to optimize buy quantities, enhance packaging, improve logistics efficiency, and strengthen inventory control parameters. Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing safer, more efficient methods and practices across enterprise operations. Lead the discovery, vetting, and adoption of new technologies, such as advanced warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools, automation solutions, and improved material handling and inventory control technologies to improve efficiency, visibility, and data-driven decision-making within logistics operations.
