Robert Half is partnering with a well-established company that is looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee all financial operations and ensure the accuracy of all accounting and financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented accountant who can manage accounting, compliance, and month end close. Based in Orland, California, you will play a key role in supporting the company's financial health and decision-making. Responsibilities:

Manage financial operations, including general ledger, budgeting, cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, collections, and profit-sharing processes.

Prepare, review, and present financial reports with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Oversee bank account reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

Administer insurance renewals for Workers Compensation, General Liability, Umbrella, and other coverages.

Handle regulatory reporting requirements, including business licenses, permits, and certifications.

Collaborate with external accountants to ensure timely and accurate tax filings while staying up-to-date on tax laws.

Supervise payroll processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws and certified payroll reporting.

Manage company assets such as vehicles and equipment, including tracking, registrations, inspections, and permits.

Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company resources and financial data.

Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Proven leadership experience in managing accounting teams and fostering a collaborative environment.

Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance processes.

Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
