Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join one of our clients on an interim basis. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions and ensure compliance with financial standards while supporting various reporting and analysis needs. This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Ensure all accounting activities comply with established financial controls and audit requirements.

Assist with data validation and clean-up efforts to maintain accuracy during system transitions.

Provide ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting to support leadership decision-making.

Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting-related inquiries and issues.

Support compliance with US GAAP and internal control frameworks.

Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting tasks.

Contribute to the successful implementation of financial systems and processes.

Requirements - A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control principles.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and add value in dynamic environments.

Hands-on experience with financial systems such as Workday Financials or PeopleSoft.

Proven expertise in managing month-end close processes and preparing financial statements.

Familiarity with large-scale data migration or clean-up initiatives is preferred.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
