POSITION: SANITATION SANITOR

REPORTS TO: MANAGER -- CORPORATE SANITATION

3rd SHIFT -- SANITATION OPERATOR

3rd Shift, Schedules are posted weekly and typically consist of working 5 days a week. Start times are subject to change based on production scheduling.

Typical hours are 10:00 pm - 7 am.

SCOPE -- SANITATION SANITOR

This position is responsible for the nightly cleaning of production equipment, rooms, and general facility Sanitation. Some Teardown and Setup of processing equipment may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -- SANITATION SANITOR

Ability to build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service, and problem solve.

Performs work that is routine in nature. Normally receives minimal supervision, although more detailed instructions are provided when performing new assignments. The incumbent uses established procedures and although not required, may exercise limited judgment and/or innovation. May assist in developing new methods for improving work processes and/or company operations.

Must be a self-paced and conscious worker with a safe sense of urgency when performing tasks

Ability to work both individually and within a team environment and move quickly from one assignment to the next.

Schedule Flexibility is necessary to meet the demands of an ever-changing production schedule.

Previous experience working in food manufacturing preferred but not required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS -- SANITATION SANITOR

Responsible for the disassembly and assembly of basic and complex production machinery. Ensures that equipment is carefully placed during cleaning process. Reassembles equipment using appropriate procedures to ensure proper placement and safe operation.

Must be familiar with the order in which equipment and production lines are set up to ensure they are reassembled in same order.

During cleaning process ensures all equipment, parts, belts, etc. are properly cleaned using standards set by Sanitation Management and Regulatory bodies. Ensures all food and debris is cleared off/under/around equipment prior to sanitizing stage of process.

Ensures all equipment is sanitized according to State and Federal regulations.

Responsible for working in an organized fashion to ensure that operations are cleaned and set up for production start times.

Uses pressure washers, and other mechanical aids to perform sanitary function. May use various tools to disassemble the reassemble equipment.

Works directly with hazardous chemicals and equipment

Completes cleaning tasks in accordance with Master Sanitation Schedule.
