The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for organizing and executing
daily outbound shipments to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective
delivery of finished goods to customers. This role works closely with
production, inventory, and carrier partners to maintain an efficient
shipping process and provide excellent service to both internal and
external customers.

Prepare and process shipping documentation, labels, and bills of
lading

Schedule and coordinate daily shipments with various carriers,
including LTL, freight, and parcel services

Verify shipment contents for accuracy against packing lists and sales
orders

Maintain clear communication with internal departments and external
freight providers

Monitor outgoing shipment schedules to meet customer delivery
timelines

Ensure all shipments comply with internal standards and customer
specifications

Support inventory management by accurately documenting product
movement

Assist with cycle counts, order staging, and pallet wrapping as
required

Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
-
Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed

Support production flow and department efficiency

Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Prior experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or transportation
coordination preferred

Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals (UPS, FedEx,
freight brokers, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, email, and
ERP/shipping systems

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
certification
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workday

Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and moving materials
-
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

Ability to safely assist with loading and unloading shipments

Ability to use computer systems and shipping equipment throughout the
shift
Work Environment:

Must wear required personal protective equipment in accordance with
company safety policies, including company-provided safety glasses and
employee-provided steel-toed footwear; additional PPE may be required
based on job duties

Warehouse and manufacturing environment with regular forklift and
truck traffic
-
Exposure to moderate noise levels and changing temperatures depending
on dock conditions

Frequent interaction with internal teams and external carriers
