Job Title: 1st Shift Reach Truck Warehouse Associate
Job Description
This role is a hands-on Warehouse Associate position with a focus on order selection and reach truck operation in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will support both inbound and outbound operations, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and movement of freight while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. The position requires regular use of warehouse equipment, consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs., and close collaboration with a team-oriented workforce.
Responsibilities
Perform accurate picking, packing, labeling, and repackaging of freight according to established company standards.
Support inbound freight activities, including receiving, unloading, staging, and verifying incoming products.
Support outbound freight activities, including staging, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
Operate warehouse equipment such as order selectors, reach trucks, fork trucks, and order pickers in a safe and efficient manner, following all operational guidelines.
Use RF scanners and related technology to locate, pick, and verify products and to maintain accurate inventory records.
Restock inventory and ensure accurate product placement and organization throughout the warehouse.
Assist with material handling tasks, including moving, stacking, and arranging palletized freight.
Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Follow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and productivity expectations throughout the shift.
Read and interpret basic documentation, including labels, pick tickets, and simple schematics when needed for assembly-related tasks.
Use hand tools for basic assembly, wiring, or electronic assembly tasks as required for specific orders or projects.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
Assist with additional warehouse and production-related tasks as assigned by the management team.
Essential Skills
Order Selector and Reach Truck experience is required, with at least 1 year of experience in reach truck operation and material handling.
Proven ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the shift.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
Ability to operate or learn to operate order selectors, reach trucks, fork trucks, and order pickers safely.
Experience using RF scanners for order selection, inventory tracking, and documentation.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness and ability to perform physically demanding work for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills to ensure order accuracy and complete required documentation.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and consistently.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order selection and inventory handling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience operating warehouse vehicles such as fork trucks, order pickers, and reach trucks.
Experience working with inbound and outbound freight in a distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and related inventory software.
Experience with assembly tasks, including electronic assembly, cable assembly, and wiring.
Ability to read and work from simple blueprints, schematics, or harness diagrams when required.
Hands-on experience with crimping, soldering, and using a variety of hand tools in a production or warehouse setting.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting productivity and quality standards.
Comfort working around moving equipment and palletized freight in a structured, goal-driven environment.

Work Environment
The position is available on 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with an additional swing shift option from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The warehouse is a busy, team-oriented environment focused on safety, efficiency, and accuracy. Associates work around moving equipment such as reach trucks, fork trucks, order selectors, and order pickers, as well as palletized freight and active loading areas. The facility may experience fluctuating temperatures depending on the season and specific work zones, so you should be comfortable working in varying conditions. The role involves continuous physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., and operating equipment for most of the shift. Team members are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, follow all safety procedures, and remain alert to potential hazards. The environment is structured and goal-driven, best suited for individuals who enjoy active, hands-on work, take pride in accuracy, and appreciate a collaborative, supportive team setting. Appropriate work attire suitable for an active warehouse setting is required, with closed-toe footwear and clothing that allows safe and comfortable movement around equipment and freight.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.18 - $19.18/hr.
