Job Title: 1st Shift Inventory Clerk / Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This entry-level inventory clerk / warehouse role supports a distribution operation that manufactures automotive parts. You will help maintain accurate inventory records, track material movement, and support the efficient flow of products throughout the facility. Working on 1st shift, you will perform counting, stocking, and general warehouse tasks that are essential to operational and supply chain accuracy.
Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain current inventory levels to support daily production and shipping needs.
Process purchase orders and inventory-related documentation as required.
Count parts and materials accurately, including items stored on rolling stairs ranging from approximately 7 to 15 steps in height.
Perform regular inventory audits and reconcile physical counts with system records.
Receive, unpack, and store incoming materials and supplies in designated locations.
Track and document inventory movements using inventory management software and RF scanners.
Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages promptly.
Pull orders and pick products according to work orders and inventory records.
Assist with general labor tasks, including packing, organizing, and staging materials for shipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inventory and warehouse area.
Follow all safety procedures when using rolling safety ladders and moving materials.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting accuracy and productivity expectations.
Collaborate with team members while also working independently and staying self-motivated.
Essential Skills
Ability to perform repetitive counting tasks with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to read, write, and speak English to understand work instructions and complete documentation.
Experience or comfort using RF scanners to track and document inventory movements.
Basic data entry skills to update inventory management systems.
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods during the shift.
Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat while performing inventory and warehouse tasks.
Comfort using rolling safety ladders of approximately 5-7 steps and, when needed, taller ladders up to about 15 feet for shipping and inventory access.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in inventory, order pulling, packing, picking, or general labor roles in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Familiarity with automotive parts or manufacturing inventory is helpful but not required.
Interest in learning forklift operation, with potential training opportunities after being hired directly.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory records.
Reliability in adhering to an early 1st shift schedule from Monday through Friday.

Work Environment
This is a 1st shift position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The role is based in a busy warehouse and distribution facility where automotive parts are handled and stored. The noise level is typically high due to forklifts and other machinery operating throughout the facility, so comfort in a loud industrial environment is important. You will spend most of the day on your feet, moving throughout the warehouse, using RF scanners, handling parts, and working with rolling safety ladders to access inventory stored at different heights. The dress code includes a plain shirt with no logos for alcohol-related products, jeans without holes, and closed-toe shoes to support safety and professionalism on the floor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
