Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Corona, California. This is a contract position with the potential for a long-term opportunity, offering an excellent chance for someone seeking stability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will excel in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes, while demonstrating a strong understanding of corporate and sales tax.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Conduct month-end close activities, including reviewing and finalizing financial statements.

Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of balance sheets.

Perform detailed bank account and cash reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.

Handle corporate and sales tax filings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Support accounts receivable processes, including payment application and aging analysis.

Assist in preparing corporate tax returns and related documentation.

Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

Collaborate with internal teams to enhance accounting workflows and processes. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return preparation.

Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

Expertise in account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank accounts.

Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and tools.

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
