Senior Accountant

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports. This role involves overseeing complex accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance, financial analysis, and month-end and year-end closing processes. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting operations and implement best practices. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial health of the organization and contributing to the continuous improvement of the Shared Service Center's operations.

Key Tasks

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.

Provide accounting analysis to assist in supporting business controllers.

Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and other regulatory requirements.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions, assets and reconciliations.

Maintain daily cash approvals and bank reconciliations.

Compile and prepare tax returns filings.

Partner with key stakeholders to provide accounting guidance as needed for proper recording or to facilitate transactions through the accounting process

Work with external and internal auditors to provide requested information

Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies

Provide support for upgrades and projects as needed, in regards to training, testing and SME support.

Your Background

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

3+ years of accounting experience

Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards
