What You Will Do
Industrial Engineers apply advanced problem-solving techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles to develop and optimize factories to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value. Industrial Engineers are involved in Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layout, Line Balancing, Simulation and Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, Process Mapping, and Project Management.
What You Will Learn
Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.
Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, manufacturing technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.
Partner with project managers and other functions to execute projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of factory equipment, and/or add new capability.
Support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.
Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
Experience with CAD Software
Experience with project management

*Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
Preferred majors are: Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Experience/Education with capacity/constraint analysis
Experience/Education with discrete event simulation modeling
Experience/Education with factory layout and work cell design / optimization
Six Sigma principles
Lean manufacturing principles
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical and creative thinking skills

Onsite in Andover, MA
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas.
Relocation assistance is NOT available for this role

DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
