Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in daily warehouse operations by preparing, shipping, receiving, and organizing inventory in a clean, well-organized distribution center. This position operates Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and involves working with shipping documentation, material handling equipment, and inventory systems to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
Prepare shipments for postal or commercial carriers by determining the most economical and efficient shipping method and selecting appropriate shipping containers.
Pack items securely to ensure safe and damage-free delivery to customers.
Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Check items to be shipped against work orders to verify that quantities, destinations, and routing are correct.
Receive and unload incoming materials, verifying shipment accuracy by comparing packing slips with purchase orders.
Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and log inventory for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
Use scan guns and RF scanners to track, pick, and confirm inventory movements and order fulfillment.
Operate pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, forklifts (sit-down and stand-up), reach trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently as needed.
Perform order picking, order selecting, and packing tasks to support timely and accurate shipping to customers.
Load and unload trucks, including large box trucks, while following safety and handling procedures.
Support inventory control and inventory management activities by accurately recording product movements and counts.
Use basic computer and data entry skills to update inventory systems, shipping records, and related documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility standards and safety guidelines.
Work both independently and collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
Handle average-weight objects up to 20 lbs routinely and lift items up to 60 lbs as required.
Essential Skills
Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing shipments and verifying incoming materials.
Proficiency in order picking, order selecting, packing, and packaging tasks in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Ability to use pallet jacks and electric pallet jacks for material handling.
Experience operating forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks.
Skill in using RF scanners and RF scan guns for inventory tracking and order processing.
Basic computer skills and data entry abilities to update inventory and shipping information.
Capability to perform loading and unloading of trucks, including handling of larger loads.
Ability to handle average-weight objects up to 20 lbs and lift items up to 60 lbs safely.
Ability to work independently while maintaining positive working relationships with team members, leadership, and customers.
Comfort working in an environment with moderate exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, and dust.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience driving large box trucks is preferred.
Experience in warehouse inventory, inventory control, and inventory management is beneficial.
General labor experience in a distribution or warehouse setting is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail when verifying orders, documentation, and inventory counts.
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Commitment to safety, organization, and following established procedures.

Material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and RF scan guns are commonly used, and employees are expected to follow safety protocols while lifting and moving items up to 60 lbs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
