Our client is looking for an entry-level Accounting Assistant who's eager to start or grow their career in a corporate environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with any @type of professional experience-office work, retail, customer service, hospitality, or similar-who wants to get their foot in the door and develop strong administrative and accounting skills.

If you're reliable, motivated, and excited to learn, this role is a great fit. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks

Process and scan invoices, payments, and documentation

Help resolve simple billing or customer account questions

Support data entry across accounting and customer service functions

Follow up on quotes, samples, or customer inquiries as needed

Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner

Greet and assist visitors when providing receptionist backup

Provide general administrative support to the office and accounting team

Learn and use internal systems (MRP, CRM, Microsoft Office)

?Qualifications

Some @type of professional experience is required

Could be office, retail, customer service, hospitality, warehouse, or similar

Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude

Comfort with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office preferred)

Willingness to learn accounting processes and internal systems

Attention to detail and ability to stay organized

Reliable, punctual, and eager to grow within a corporate setting

High School Diploma or GED required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Biddeford, ME.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
