Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's corporate accounting team. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting for a growing organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation, thrives in a structured corporate environment, and is comfortable working across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations

Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and support variance analysis

Assist with general ledger maintenance and financial reporting

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed

Maintain accurate documentation and support internal controls

Assist with audits, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation

Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency

Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operational teams on ad hoc projects

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or shared services environment

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting

Experience with an ERP system; NetSuite experience strongly preferred

Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas)

Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
