Job Title: Production Operator
Job Description
The Cleanroom Technician assembles circuit boards and sub-assemblies used across multiple industries in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. You will work with hand tools and production machinery, follow computer-based work instructions, and perform quality checks to ensure every product meets high standards of accuracy and reliability.
Responsibilities
Assemble circuit boards and sub-assemblies using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches.
Operate production machinery to apply solder paste and process smaller components according to established procedures.
Follow detailed, step-by-step computer-based instructions for each assembly process.
Log into and navigate multiple computer programs at the same time to access the correct assembly instructions and documentation.
Perform visual and basic functional quality checks on completed work before moving it to the next production step.
Handle general production tasks, including basic material handling, picking, and packaging when needed.
Use soldering techniques, where applicable, to assemble or repair components according to specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area within the cleanroom and follow all facility and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and team members to meet production goals and resolve basic issues on the line.
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, drawing on customer service experience to support a positive work environment.
Essential Skills
Ability to use basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches, in a production or assembly setting.
Comfort working with production machinery to apply solder paste and process small components.
Ability to follow step-by-step instructions accurately and consistently.
Basic computer skills and the ability to log into and use multiple programs simultaneously.
Attention to detail and the ability to perform thorough quality checks on completed work.
General production experience and comfort working in an entry-level manufacturing or assembly role.
Ability to perform assembly tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1 year of assembly experience preferred.
1-2 years of soldering experience, which can support a higher starting pay level.
Any amount of picking and packaging experience is helpful.
Background in customer service roles is beneficial and often translates well to this environment.
Experience with soldering and handling electronic components is an advantage.
Willingness to learn new processes and progress into higher positions through training.

Work Environment

You will work with standard cleanroom and production equipment, including hand tools and specialized machinery for printing solder paste and handling small components. Leads and supervisors maintain a friendly, approachable atmosphere and are willing to train as long as needed to help you succeed in your role. The environment supports focus, learning, and collaboration across the production team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neenah, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.30/hr.
