Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
Join a high-volume distribution center in Anderson, IN as a Warehouse Worker, supporting all core warehouse functions including picking, loading, and receiving. In this role, you will learn the full operation of the distribution center, operate material handling equipment, and work on either a morning or night shift with a 2-2-3 schedule after training. This is an open-ended contract role with the possibility of being considered for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
Accurately pick products from designated locations according to order specifications.
Safely operate an electric pallet jack to transport products throughout the warehouse.
Use RF scanners and other scanning equipment to ensure correct items are picked and to track inventory.
Verify picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy before staging or loading.
Place picked items onto pallets in a secure, stable, and organized manner.
Wrap the top of pallets and prepare them for the automated wrapping machine.
Pull pallets off the conveyor and scan them using the provided equipment.
Use the SAP system to determine the correct door for each outbound pallet.
Transport pallets to designated doors using a sit-down forklift while following all safety protocols.
Stage orders for outbound shipments in an organized and efficient manner.
Use the SAP system to identify the correct door for incoming shipments.
Unload shipments from trucks and other delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
Stage the receiving area for the next order by organizing pallets, tucking tails, verifying tags and labels, and putting items away in the correct locations.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in both picking and receiving zones.
Follow all warehouse safety guidelines, procedures, and equipment operation standards.
Work independently, stay on task, and maintain productivity throughout the shift.
Adapt to working in a cold warehouse environment and use provided cold-weather gear appropriately.
Essential Skills
Willingness to operate an electric pallet jack as a primary part of daily duties.
Willingness to learn and operate a sit-down forklift safely.
Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment at approximately 45 degrees.
Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, and lifting while picking and staging orders.
Strong self-motivation and ability to stay on task with minimal supervision.
Basic comfort using scanning equipment and following on-screen or printed instructions.
Reliability in adhering to assigned shift schedules, including 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation after training.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience using RF scanners in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Experience with order picking on a pick line in a warehouse setting.
Prior experience operating an electric pallet jack.
Experience with loading, unloading, staging, and material handling.
Familiarity with sit-down forklift operation in a production or distribution facility.
Experience using scan guns or similar handheld scanning technology.
Exposure to SAP or similar warehouse management or inventory systems.

Work Environment
You will work in a refrigerated warehouse environment maintained at approximately 45 degrees, with all necessary cold-weather gear such as bibs and gloves provided. The facility operates both morning and night shifts. The morning shift runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM for 1-2 weeks of training, then transitions to a 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation. The night shift runs Sunday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM for 1-2 weeks of training, then transitions to a 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation. Each shift includes two paid 20-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute meal break. You will regularly use an electric pallet jack, sit-down forklift, RF scanners, scan guns, and SAP-based systems within a busy distribution center. The dress code includes jeans and steel-toe or composite-toe shoes, with cold-weather gear provided to keep you comfortable in the cooler environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
