Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse functions in the Rice Lake Outpatient Clinic, serving veterans within the Patient Aligned Care Team. This Licensed Practical Nurse provides care and counselling of patients and promotes maintenance of healthy living in the prevention of illness, injury, and chronic disease by using the nursing process including systematic date collecting, monitoring, nursing judgement and evaluation of human response to actual or potential health problems. Completed work should need only a general review by a registered nurse (RN) or physician (MD/DO) for appropriateness and conformity with established policies/procedures. Ability to observe, identify, and respond to a patient's needs for care including medication, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education.
