Job Description

The Back Office Medical Assistant Floater will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician, managing both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. This role supports clinicians and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating patient populations. The medical assistant floater is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. The position requires floating across various offices to support either in the Medical Assistant role or dedicated laboratory functions.

Responsibilities

Provide team-based patient care under clinician supervision.

Assist in chronic disease management and patient examination.

Perform laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

Float between various offices as required to support medical and laboratory functions.

Communicate effectively with patients, employees, and the public.

Assess emergencies and act accordingly.

Required Skills

Minimum 6 month experience in a clinic or back office healthcare setting.

Medical Assistant diploma or equivalent certification required.

Phlebotomy experience.

This is a Permanent position based out of Miami Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30000.00 - $40000.00/yr.
