Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer

Responsibilities / Tasks:
-Responsible for a detailed understanding of all components of GMC
applications and the business, and translating that knowledge into the
requirements for systems or processes.
-Performs trouble-shooting and programming analysis of systems issues,
evaluates operational impacts, and makes discretionary changes to the
GMC applications to ensure contract compliance for Informing Materials
output.
-Participates in, or independently works on, programming interfaces
between GMC and the SQL Server Database that houses the data sources for
informing materials output.
-Executes system testing plans and system change migration to production
plans for compliance with system change control requirements.
-Researches, plans, develops, and maintains new/existing Informing
Materials
-Tests application processes and participates in the design and code
walkthroughs.
-Performs analyses of existing document composition processes and
develops best practices/recommendations for operational and performance
improvements.
-Serves as liaison with the Mailhouse Operations and Print and
Fulfillment subcontractor(s) for the timely fulfillment of informing
materials mailings.
-Develops and presents mockups of informing materials output to
management for final approval.
-Obtain and maintain knowledge of the HCO program, including Policies
and Procedures as referenced in the employee manual and other policies
adopted by corporate, the project, and client.
-Maintains updated knowledge of contract compliance provisions for the
project and department and meets requirements of the job description.
-Follows Policies and Procedures without deviation.
-Meets or exceeds production and quality standards set for position.
-Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
-Experience in implementation of GMC Inspire Document Composition
software applications (preferably 2+ years).
-Experience with GMC Inspire Approval and GMC Inspire Compare tools a
plus; other Enterprise Class document composition applications may be
considered.
-Experience with print/output file formats and tools such as Postscript,
Ghostscript, AFP, EPS, and PDF.
-Understanding of the operation of graphics design equipment and
software packages;
-Advanced knowledge of graphic file formats TIFF, GIF, JPEG, etc.
-Design principles and printing processes.
-Media calls and working with double byte languages (e.g. Chinese and
Korean).
-Microsoft SQL Server database (T-SQL and Stored Procedures competency).
-File transfer and exchange formats such as FTP, XML, and ODBC.
-Experience working in a project-oriented environment.
-Strong analytical processing skills.
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal
communication skills.
Other Skills
-Experience implementing system solutions in the private health
insurance industry.
-Knowledge of policy governing the Health and Human services programs
such as Medicaid, CHIP, Long Term Services and Child Support.
Educational Requirements and/or Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related
field with more than 4-6 years of relevant experience or Master's Degree
in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with 2-3
years of relevant experience. Experience needs to be in software
engineering at an enterprise level.
