Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

The Accounts Receiving Specialist manages and tracks incoming payments, reports on overall profits and losses and actively follows up on delinquent accounts. Processes incoming customer payments and ensures payments are applied to the appropriate customer accounts

Verifies invoices/credit memos and processes/ tracks customer payments

Identifies and resolves billing discrepancies and disputes with customers

Monitors and manages customer accounts receivable balances and aging reports

Works closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve any customer account issues or concerns

*Experience with ERP systems like SAP as well as strong Excel experience. (intermediate with pivot table, formula's, ect. Experience).

Prepares and sends out regular customer account statements and invoices

Communicates with customers regarding outstanding balances and coordinates collections efforts

Processes new credit references, analyzes credit requests, and submits recommendations

Maintains accurate customer records and documentation

Additional duties as assigned

Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum of 1-year professional experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting

Experience working with state agencies and Sales Tax is a plus

Solid time management and organizational skills

Ability to consistently meet deadlines
