Nevada County is seeking an Administrative Services Associate in the Health & Human Services Agency Administration. This role supports the Social Services, Veteran's Services and Child Support Services Departments! Come and join a team of highly skilled professionals who are working together toprovide fiscal, contract development and administrative support for our programs to ensure sustainable, high-quality services are provided to county residents.Help support the mission of HHSA by performing these duties:
Assign and review the work offiscalsupport staff; coordinate workflow and provide technical mentorship and assistance
Oversee fiscal aspects of grants, including tracking expenditures, creating and reviewing reimbursement claims to the State, developing reports.
Analyze new and changing regulations and requirements from the state and assist with audits.
Help develop county and grant budgets, as well as review contracts.
Maintain liaison with other county departments, officials and staff of other agencies
Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, records, and other documentation
This role is an integral part of the County's accounting team whose mission is to plan, organize and lead all aspects of administrative activities related to fiscal matters, personnel, purchasing and office management! This position is crafted for individuals who have a Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, economics, accounting, human resources, or a related field plus two years of responsible experience ingrant or fiscalmanagement, accounting, or other administrative services equivalent to the Administrative ServicesAssociatewith the County of Nevada.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in business or public administration, economics, accounting, human resources, or a related field and one year of responsible administrative experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis to a maximum of two years.

Retirement
The County is a member of the CalPERS retirement system and also provides the opportunity for voluntary contributions to a 457 deferred compensation account through Nationwide by way of pre-tax and Roth payroll deductions.
