Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Environmental & Engineering Services department in Margate, Florida. This is a contract position that requires strong expertise in administrative tasks, particularly in billing and Excel-related functions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities:

Manage and respond to inquiries related to billing within the department, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.

Utilize Excel to create, update, and analyze spreadsheets and reports as needed.

Provide administrative support by preparing documents, correspondence, and presentations using Microsoft Word.

Coordinate and maintain records, files, and databases for departmental use.

Facilitate communication within the department and with external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Assist in organizing and scheduling meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.

Perform general clerical duties, such as data entry, filing, and handling incoming correspondence.

Support the Office Manager with additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Ensure compliance with organizational standards and protocols in all administrative activities. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manage formulas and analyze data.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word for document creation and formatting.

Experience in handling billing-related inquiries and processes.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities effectively.

Clear and detail-oriented communication abilities, both written and verbal.

Previous experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a government or engineering environment.

High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
