As part of our spin-off from our parent company, we are building a standalone IT function to drive strategic growth and operational excellence. We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish and English) Manufacturing IT Leader to lead and manage IT operations across our key manufacturing sites in Juncos, Puerto Rico , and Northridge, California .
As Manufacturing IT Lead, you will be responsible for the reliable and secure operation of IT systems and services supporting manufacturing operations at our Juncos and Northridge facilities. This includes ownership of systems such as equipment controllers (PLCs), MES platforms (Factoryorx), web services for machine integration, and manufacturing reporting. The role includes accountability for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level IT support-both onsite and cross-site.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing IT Operations and Support
Oversee end-to-end IT support across both manufacturing sites (Juncos and Northridge).
Ensure 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support is delivered effectively for all production systems.
Maintain operational uptime and stability across manufacturing environments.
System Ownership and Technical Management
Own and manage:
Equipment Controllers (PLCs)
MES: Factoryorx
Web services enabling machine/system integrations
Reporting and analytics solutions for manufacturing
Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory (GxP), and security requirements.
Manage system lifecycle, including upgrades, change management, and documentation.
Team Leadership and Vendor Management
Lead and develop a site-based IT team in Juncos and Northridge; coordinate cross-site collaboration.
Manage external partners and vendors supporting hardware, software, and services.
Foster a strong, service-oriented team culture with a focus on responsiveness and accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with site leadership (manufacturing, quality, engineering) to align IT services with operations needs.
Coordinate with global IT teams to ensure security, standardization, and enterprise integration.
Act as the senior IT point of contact for manufacturing leaders.
Projects and Continuous Improvement
Lead implementation of new manufacturing systems and enhancements.
Drive standardization, automation, and digital transformation efforts on the shop floor.
Proactively identify and address risks to system reliability or compliance.
Required Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT experience with at least 5 years in a manufacturing/industrial environment and 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience.
Demonstrated expertise in PLCs, MES (Factoryorx), and web services
Familiarity with FDA-regulated manufacturing or similar compliance environments.
Experience managing multi-site support and remote/hybrid teams.
Bilingual (Spanish and English)-required.
SAP ECC and S/4 enterprise environment experience.
Regulated consumer products manufacturing.
Exposure to both traditional manufacturing systems and robotic automation.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: commensurate with experience
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on individual performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
