Summary You will serve as a INVESTIGATOR in the Inspector General of the Marine Corps of DNIGMC. Responsibilities You will conduct non-criminal administrative Inspector General (IG) investigations to manage allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement and military whistleblower reprisal. You will investigate facts and information relative to violations of law, executive orders, federal regulations and standards. You will respond to inquiries from higher level authority offices and officials (e.g. Office of Legislative Affairs, Office of Special Counsel, Department of Defense Office of Inspector General) regarding all investigative matters assigned to you. You will write and review reports that serve as the basis for the preparation of cases for court martials, administrative decisions, or for testifying in legal, quasi-legal and administrative hearings. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: investigating and evaluating complaints from any sources regarding fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, or congressional and special interest cases; analyzing allegations of noncompliance of laws, procurement irregularities, management abuses and conflicts of interest; AND conducting investigations in order to provide recommendations to senior level officials.
