Summary You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Fleet and Family Readiness of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BLAZ. Responsibilities You will assist in the development of directives, instructions, and procedures for the accomplishment of housing management inspections, and provides guidance to lower graded housing employee. You will independently investigate and resolves a variety of complex occupant concerns and complaints related to housing facilities, other occupants, and habitability conditions recommending solutions to controversial situations. You will monitor the assignment of tenants to available adequate quarters using the principle of unit integrity. You will be implementing management plans and directives concerning the operation, use of housing assets, planning and scheduling, and coordinating all major activities for housing projects and facilities associated with the installation. You will plan, organize and perform work required to ensure proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Navy Community Service Program. You will ensure the occupancy date in the housing software program is reviewed and updated on a daily/monthly basis and reflects accurate current occupancy. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Interpreting, explaining and applying technical requirements of public-private venture housing and facilities agreements; 2) Using housing software to maintain occupancy records, property account information, inspection records and condition reports; and resolving issues and handling difficult customers. 3) Preparing reports and point papers that include information relative to data collection, analysis and recommendation for action. 4) Managing Unaccompanied Housing units, ensuring occupancy tracking, asset accountability, and policy compliance. 5) Ability to coordinate housing assignments, develop data-driven solutions, and improve program effectiveness.
