Our Vision for this Role
The Senior Director, Human Resources at Flynn Support serves as a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the Flynn Support's people strategy across multiple business functions and corporate office locations. This role directly oversees HRIT, Employee Relations, Office Culture, the Flynn Family Fund, and will need to partner with Learning & Talent Development for Flynn Support implementation in order to ensure alignment with the company's mission, values, and long-term growth objectives. The Senior Director, Human Resources partners closely with Flynn Support SLT leadership to foster a high-performing, inclusive, and values-driven workplace - partnering and reporting directly to the President, Flynn Support - with a secondary (dotted-line) relationship to the VP, Flynn Field HR.

Key Business Partner to Flynn Support President and Flynn Group SLT Leaders
The Senior Director, Human Resources will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive HR strategy that supports Flynn Support organizational goals and enhances employee experience, will serve as a trusted advisor to Flynn Support SLT on all human capital matters, and will lead organizational change initiatives and workforce planning efforts. In particular, they will be responsible for:
Understanding Flynn Support focus areas and partner with department leaders to solve for key business issues - Develop HR strategic initiatives for each year that tie into business priorities and accountable for achieving them. (Examples could be training/development tools, reporting/analytics, recruitment source innovation, new orientation program, new performance review template, etc.)
Serving as a strategic business partner - tie together Operations needs with HR needs and ensure realistic solutions are brought to the table.
Serving as a key facilitator of information from Flynn Support to business functions and vice versa, ensuring that Flynn Support is receiving the support they need for their business
Assessing VP, Senior Director and Director talent and partner on their development and growth
Attending all Flynn Group SLT leadership meetings - listen to challenges, propose solutions, innovate on possibilities
Skilled Communicator + Culture Champion
Flynn Support Liaison to Flynn Support SLT
Direct communication with Flynn Group SLT on all areas of direct reporting responsibility (e.g. technology support, changes, upgrades, broader Flynn Support initiatives and rollouts that impact operations, vendor contract management where there is overlap with Operations)
Ensure messaging and practices are consistent/in line (exceptions when appropriate)
Leverage resources in terms of ideas, tools, resources, research, etc.
Trusted Owner
Direct oversight of HRIT, Employee Relations, Culture and Flynn Family Fund
Human Resources Information Technology:
Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of HR systems and technologies.
Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and the effective use of analytics to drive decision-making.
Partner with IT to enhance system integrations and user experience.
Employee Relations:
Establish and maintain positive employee relations practices that promote fairness, trust, and engagement.
Provide guidance on conflict resolution, investigations, and policy interpretation.
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
Flynn Support Culture:
Champion initiatives that strengthen company culture, employee engagement, and inclusion.
Develop programs that promote collaboration, recognition, and well-being.
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent cultural alignment across teams.
Flynn Family Fund Administration:
Oversee the administration and growth of the Flynn Family Fund, ensuring alignment with company values and community impact goals.-
Promote employee awareness and engagement with the fund.
Coordinate philanthropic initiatives and measure program effectiveness.
Talent Development (Partnership):
Partner with the Talent Development team to lead the implementation of leadership development, succession planning, and career growth initiatives within Flynn Support
Provide feedback on and execute implementation of training programs to build org capability
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
What You Have
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including multi-functional oversight.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational development.
Demonstrated experience leading HR technology initiatives.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Maturity to embrace ambiguity and ability to adapt according to the market and ongoing innovation
The ability to help build, lead, and inspire a world class human resources team
Outstanding communication skills and experience partnering with other senior management team members and the field organization to provide strategic and productive advice
Excellent team leadership skills and the ability to set goals, accomplish objectives, coach, and counsel while adding to the organizational climate and culture
Personal characteristics reflective of a fast-paced industry: high energy, self-motivated, positive attitude, service oriented, flexible, fun-loving personality, and ethical with a high degree of integrity
