The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate all non-legacy equipment assets assigned to the weapon system and support to worldwide customers for the Strategic Automated Command, Control, and Communication System (SACCS). Performs duties that plan, execute, and distribute assigned items. Responsibilities Performs work associated with the management of items, and preparation of data for accurate planning of budgetary estimates. Validates Air Force repair requirements data, initiates repair, maintains documentation for repair actions. Reviews customer requirements and directs SACCS system supply activities to optimize system asset distribution. Prepares presentations and reports for management relative to any aspect of assigned items or projects when required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions for Inventory Management Series, 2010. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of supply chain management principles, contract and organic repair procedures, and interservice procedures, techniques and practices to include sustainment procedures and the peculiarities of requirements development. Knowledge of requirements, repair, disposal, distribution and spares leveling as well as logistics planning, programming and budgeting systems. Knowledge of logistics processes, provisioning procedures and peculiarities of provisioning requirements development as well as tactical and strategic approaches to supply chain management. OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Administration (Logistics) and Supply Management. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. Skill in applying specialized analytical methods and techniques to resolve difficult inventory management problems and issues. Ability to analyze historical data, reported usage, trends, failure data, past and future program data and select the appropriatedemand planning methods for assigned items. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
