Summary This position is located at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California. Responsibilities This position serves as a key member in the management team at Riverside National Cemetery and works closely with the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Assistant Directors, and other key personnel in the formulation of projects, reports, strategic plans, resource utilization, needs assessments and assigned administrative activities. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates reports and statistics to advice on trends, out of line situations, and anticipate needs. Requires skill in preparing project presentations, papers, and staff reports and skill in organizing and delivering briefings to the RNC Cemetery Directors and Pacific District Directors to encourage understand and acceptance of findings and recommendations. Analyzes survey results for cemetery trends and assists with development of recommendations for implementation with cemetery action plans. Prepares or reviews all standard operating procedures regarding all aspects of cemetery operations for signature or concurrence of the Executive Director and/or Deputy Director. Assist with managing the Executive Directors' calendar, scheduling appointments, meeting, and travel arrangements. Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Work schedule: May be required to work Monday through Friday to include occasional weekends. Due to the mission of the National Cemetery, the cemetery cannot be closed for more than 2 consecutive days at any given time. Additionally, when a Federal holiday falls on a Monday or Friday, staff may be required to work on that holiday or a Saturday. All staff is required to work Memorial Day each year. Staff will be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays when necessary to meet the needs of the cemetery. Occasionally staff may be called back to the facility to perform emergency overtime work.
