The Opportunity:
The Senior Supply Chain Manager leads the procurement organization for the Space & Defense business unit located in Danbury, CT. Collaborating with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, this position ensures customer and program commitments are met, while confirming compliance with all government regulations. The Sr. Manager is responsible to guide, develop and grow the Supply Chain team. We are looking for someone to develop and drive strategically while also working alongside the supply chain and program teams to get the job done. Responsibilities:
Lead, monitor and control the acquisition process including but not limited to the support of requirements definition, capture strategy, proposal generation, proposal evaluations, source selections, negotiations, material requirements definition, material procurement strategy and file documentation
Ensure compliance to all internal and Government audits FAR/DFAR/DPAS/CPSR/ITAR/ITC procurement regulations, change support and interact with auditors with CPSR management, invoice approvals, dispute resolution, and close-out activities
Define, quantify, and effectively manage risk exposure (Schedule & Cost)
system in compliance with company and DoD standards
Identify and implement supply chain transformation and improvement projects to drive best-in-class supply chain processes and efficiencies
Develop, train, and motivate Supply Chain team to optimize talent and drive efficiencies
Establish and manage relationships with key/critical suppliers to achieve best-in-class supplier performance
Meet operating goals for cash flow, accounts receivable, working capital and operating income through negotiation results and effective supplier management while developing mechanisms and resolutions to meet goals
Represent the company internally and externally with suppliers and customers in all assigned matters with a high level of competence, professionalism, integrity, and credibility
Qualifications:
Required:
B.S. preferably in business or supply chain management field, or equivalent experience; M.S. preferred
Minimum of 7+ years of supply chain management experience in the aerospace or defense industry
Demonstrated leadership skills in management of people, processes and/or projects across diverse supply chain teams
Proven ability to provide direction, coaching, training and mentorship to individuals of various skill and experience levels
Extensive knowledge and understanding of government contracts and their impact on the Supply Chain process from proposal stage through program award and execution
Strong working knowledge of subcontracts management, FFP, CPFF, CPAF, and IDIQ @type procurements
Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner with all levels of the organization to establish clear and concise objectives, identify and communicate risks and opportunities, and drive excellence in performance, compliance, and customer support
Oracle, SAP, or other ERP system experience required
Well versed in Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel
Advanced data analysis skills including the use of regression analysis and demand estimation models along with budgetary variance analysis
Understanding of the basics and best practices pertaining to configuration management for hardware and documents
Desired:
APICS or ISM certification

While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to use hands to keyboard, communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$84,900 - $178,400
