Summary About the Position: This position will direct, assist, and advise in the planning, direction, and administration of complex construction contracts while exercising supervision and administration responsibility for assigned projects. Work with other Corps of Engineers team members, architects, engineers, and construction contractors to ensure requisite quality control is maintained, work is performed in accordance with contract provisions. Develop preliminary findings on specifications, estimates, and recommendations for contract change orders and supplemental agreements involving additions and changes in work, designs, methods, materials, equipment, time, and costs. Ensure technical problems during site preparation and construction operations are resolved with minimal impact on project execution. Work with customers/sponsors/outside agencies to promote favorable and effective working relations and ensure adequate construction progress is maintained. Responsible for administration and oversight of construction contracts and serve as a technical and administrative advisor to the Resident Engineer.
