Engineer scalable data models, semantic layers, and reporting architectures that integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources (e.g., databases, APIs, log data, cloud platforms)
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and normalize data from enterprise systems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and availability
Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and data protection mechanisms to ensure secure handling of sensitive information across multiple environments
Integrate analytics solutions with enterprise platforms (e.g., cloud services, IT service management tools, collaboration platforms) to enable automated reporting and near real-time data visibility
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system engineers, network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and operations staff to translate requirements into actionable dashboards and performance metrics
Support ITIL 4 service management practices by developing reporting that enables service level management, incident analysis, problem management, and continual service improvement
Ensure compliance with security policies, data governance standards, and regulatory requirements, including implementation of security controls and support for auditing and continuous monitoring activities
Develop and maintain technical documentation including data models, report specifications, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and tasking to junior developers, analysts, and technicians supporting data engineering and reporting functions
Evaluate emerging data analytics technologies, automation tools, and advanced analytics capabilities (e.g., AI/ML) to improve performance and mission effectiveness
Support integration of data across multiple environments, including considerations for data segmentation, access control, and secure information sharing
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience (or 11 years of experience without a degree)
Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain up to TS/SCI (active Top Secret clearance is preferred)
Advanced experience developing enterprise dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Desktop and Service)
Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling techniques
Experience with SQL, relational databases, and data warehouse concepts
Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating data from multiple enterprise systems
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, or equivalent)
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices
Experience implementing data security controls, including RBAC and secure data access patterns
Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity principles, including system hardening, vulnerability management, and secure data handling practices
Desired Skills:
Experience integrating Power BI with enterprise IT service management and operational platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Splunk, or similar tools)
Familiarity with cross-domain or multi-environment data integration and secure data transfer considerations
Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data processing and reporting workflows
Exposure to AI/ML integration or predictive analytics within enterprise environments
Strong understanding of ITIL 4 practices including service level management, continual improvement, and performance analytics
Experience supporting enterprise operations, performance management, or command-level reporting environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
