Perform administrative duties for one or more departments or units and provide various office support activities.
The Senior Specialist, Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting multiple dynamic leaders across the Communications, Marketing, and Corporate Social Responsibility division. Serving as a trusted partner, this role supports leaders by anticipating needs and ensuring seamless coordination across priorities, projects, and stakeholders. With strong judgment, business acumen, and a proactive mindset, the role supports fast paced, purpose driven work-helping leaders operate efficiently, make informed decisions, and advance the organization's purpose to improve the health and well-being of our customers and communities.

Support three separate leaders:1)VP, Brand & Creative, 2) VP, Demand Generation, 3) VP,Strategy,Planning,Performance
Support the leadersand department staff by scheduling, planning, and attending meetings as needed; provide administrative support including expense reporting and travel planning.
Act as a coordinator for departmental projects, following up on pending details, coordinating project activities, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment while analyzing complex information requests andidentifyingtrends or patterns.
Maintain and update distribution lists and organizational charts.
Coordinate departmental activities and events.
Coordinate departmental moves and serve as a liaison with IT for services, equipment, and system upgrades.
Assemble, analyze, and summarize information to support decision-making; preparepresentations,reports, summaries, and responses to inquiries using multiple information sources under general direction.
Support departmental budget processes, including running reports, basic budget analysis, and budget entries as needed.
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED.
5+ years of experience in relatedfield.
Prior experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar professional support capacity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and working styles.
High energy level with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated desire to grow professionally, with strong business acumen and an interest in understanding organizational goals and operations.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Copilot)

Salary Range
At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.
