Contracts and Purchasing Intern

Job Descriptions:

Kratos is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to support our Contracts and Purchasing functions. This role is ideal for a student interested in business, supply chain, legal studies, or operations who wants hands?on experience in a corporate contracts/procurement environment. The intern will assist with contract administration, vendor onboarding, purchasing tasks, and general compliance support.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with contract reviews for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation.

Support the creation, organization, and maintenance of contract files and templates.

Help track contract renewals, expirations, and key dates.

Support purchasing activities, including quote requests, purchase order preparation, and vendor communications.

Help maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with internal requirements.

Perform basic data entry, reporting, and documentation tasks.

Assist with process improvements in contract management and purchasing workflows.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, finance, and compliance.

Other duties and administrative support as assigned.

Required Experience:

Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with SharePoint is a plus.

Professionalism, confidentiality, and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

Interest or coursework in contracting, procurement, compliance, or business operations.

Experience working in an office environment or handling administrative tasks.
