The essence of Louisville is woven throughout with interior design blends elements of the city's heritage, culture and character, felt everywhere from the hotel restaurants to a featured bourbon bar to the hotel's Speakeasy and bowling alley.Guests can also enjoy a dynamic 20,000 square foot urban food hall and market connected to the lobby of the hotel. Transforming Liberty Street into a pedestrian thoroughfare, the market serves as a community gateway for hotel guests and locals alike, inviting the neighborhood in with the smells of freshly brewed Heine Brothers' coffee, baked bread, and smoked barbeque.Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. Guest Room Attendants refresh rooms for guests who are continuing their stay, as well as, thoroughly clean rooms of guests who have checked out in preparation for the next guest checking in.Responsibilities- Thoroughly clean guest rooms including: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting- Restock and replace used items within guest rooms- Communicate clean status of each room upon completion- Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms- Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times- Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order- Respond to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly mannerQualifications- Environmental services experience preferred, preferably in hotel housekeeping- Basic English skills are required (must be able to answer basic questions about services and amenities, give directions to guests).- Candidates must be able to multi-task in a busy environment, follow through on guest and manager requests, and work as a team player- Must be detail oriented, possessing a friendly, approachable demeanor and high standard for cleanliness and organization.- Ability to stand, bend and do repetitive movements for long periods of time.- Ability to frequently bend, squat, and reach overhead.- Ability to lift up to 20-25 pounds intermittently, and occasionally 50 pounds.- Ability to push and pull fully stocked housekeeping supply cart.- Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and be able to respond to hazardous situations- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
