Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Central, Louisiana. This is a short-term contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term career development. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain corporate tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations.

Record and reconcile journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Manage the general ledger, performing regular reviews and reconciliations.

Oversee accounts payable processes, including verifying invoices and processing payments.

Post and track payments to ensure timely and accurate recording.

Enter journal entries into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail.

Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities.

Provide support for audits by compiling necessary documents and reports.

Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.

Requirements - Proficiency in preparing corporate tax returns and handling related documentation.

Solid experience in recording and reconciling journal entries.

Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and accounts management.

Familiarity with accounts payable operations, including payment posting.

Ability to post journal entries accurately within accounting systems.

Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team.
