As the Head of Finance, the candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring and evaluating overall corporate strategy with the CEO and leaders of NAV business units with emphasis on bottom line performance and working capital. This position will provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing strategy.
As the most senior finance leader and partner to the business, you will be responsible for the overall financial integrity and performance of the business unit, for Supply Chain, Commercial and FP&A for the HU business. You will partner with the CEO of HU, Vice President, NAV Finance, and provide BU linkage to the NA Finance and NA Venture organizations. In addition, you will create pipelines and business plans, manage risks & opportunities within the scope of your role and make trade-offs to deliver on targets. In addition, you will support the finance function and the talent agenda and engagement strategy for the Finance function as well as HU's business.
Essential Duties:
Collaborate with CEO and NAV Finance to set company direction: lead design and implement operating plan and business strategies, allocate resources and support as needed.
Drive company vision and mission that leads to a top performing and highly engaged team that drives financial strategies.
Advise the CEO and other key members of the leadership team on financial planning, capital and operating plan budgeting, cash flow, and policy matters.
Effectively communicate and present business plans and critical financial matters at executive team and Mondelez business reviews with appropriate solutions
Lead finance planning and performance management team/activities and related financial decisions including strategic plan and annual contract planning/forecasting, target development, financial performance reporting/analysis, financial modeling and decision support for the HU's business end to end.
Maintain ongoing communication, keeping the CEO and executive team informed of all critical financial issues.
Recruit, develop and coach a high-performing financial leadership team that can drive long term success, including driving the Global Finance talent agenda/pipeline within the organization.
Develop actionable financial strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the Executive Team.
Directly oversee finance team and partner with the CEO on sales and marketing management to budget for sufficient investment to achieve growth targets established through the three-year Strategic Operating Plan
Partner with NAV Accounting and Controllership to drive key FCF and operational metrics (DSO, DPO), ensure timely collection of AR, and accurate matching / disputes of trade credit memos.
Drive a strong controls and compliance environment. Ensure that policies are understood in the organization and that proper controls and compliance are in place.
Oversee treasury management; monitor Company KPI performance, manage relationship with Parent Company, and prepare monthly and quarterly reports to MDLZ NA leadership as part of business reviews.
Monitor teams performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and provide financial analysis both current and forecasted to executive team for use in decision making
Facilitating ongoing analysis and development of best practices to ensure operational efficiency and process enhancement throughout the organization.
Drive for harmonization, efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and build a mindset of continuous improvement within the Finance team.
Skills / Qualification / Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field
Hold 10+ years of consumer products experience in leadership positions
Ability to lead a diverse organization through growth challenges
Action oriented, who likes and accepts challenges and tough issues
Believes in keeping things simple: organizational structures, communication, process, priorities
Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
Familiarity with the operational procedures across functions at all levels of the organization
Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $142,700 to $235,455; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
