Elevate your career as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where you will serve as the technical cornerstone for complex, high-impact projects across the commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical sectors. In this leadership role, you will transition seamlessly between high-level project management and hands-on detailed design, overseeing everything from conceptual power studies to final construction administration. You'll act as a primary technical authority; coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, navigating intricate code interpretations, and ensuring the delivery of sophisticated electrical systems that power the infrastructure of tomorrow.

Here's a glimpse into your day to day:

Individuals in this position are responsible for planning, organizing, and performing detailed electrical design with capability to manage engineering activities.

This position requires minimal administrative direction from the division manager and is responsible for engineering design of multiple complex projects.

Research applicable industry standards, prepare and critique engineering studies, analysis of systems, preliminary and detailed engineering designs.

Develop and review engineering specifications and project cost estimates.

Direct and review work of project design team, check progress of work and alert managers to change of scope and additional services.

Coordinate all aspects of project document completion.

Direct contributing engineers and CAD designers for the preparation of construction drawings. Possess ability to interpret applicable codes.

Independently work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to codes is required.

Coordinate project design with other engineering disciplines.

You'll be a perfect fit if you have:

Minimum of eight (8) years of engineering and design experience.

Expertise in specifying and designing systems in at least one of the core industries served by TAI: commercial, hospitals, laboratories, datacenters, and government facilities.

Extensive experience designing, reviewing and approving Electrical Construction Drawing sets including but not limited to single lines, grounding plans, lightning protection, lighting plans, power plans, fire alarm, communication and security infrastructure plans.

Extensive experience with generator sizing software.

Interact with customers to gather critical information.

Working Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70).

In depth knowledge of LEED, ASHRAE, IECC, and IGCC energy codes.

Knowledge of IES recommendations.

Experience supporting mission critical and/or secure facilities design projects is preferred.

Preferably knowledge of SKM, Easypower, or ETAP.

Valid U.S. Citizenship.
