Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering TechnicianJob Description

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician performs complex or specialized technical assignments, typically project-based, requiring independent work. This role involves using considerable judgment, a high degree of initiative, and creative approaches in troubleshooting while adapting to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. The technician monitors and improves manufacturing processes and recommends continuous improvement strategies for Manufacturing Engineering.

Responsibilities

Perform complex or specialized technical assignments related to manufacturing projects.

Work independently to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.

Monitor and improve manufacturing processes.

Collaborate with engineers on equipment repairs and builds.

Make recommendations for continuous improvement in work processes.

Perform simple assembly, light equipment repair, and maintenance tasks such as swapping out fans or belts and conducting cleaning operations on dies.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in troubleshooting, assembly, and mechanical equipment maintenance.

Ability to work effectively with hands and demonstrate mechanical acumen.

Understanding and experience with 5S, Lean, and waste reduction methodologies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Exposure to Solidworks, Pro-E, AutoCAD, or other CAD software is preferred.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime for those open to it. The environment is fast-paced, and the role requires adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $27.50/hr.
