Job Description

Insight Global is assisting an established boutique law firm in finding a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to support end-to-end legal billing operations. This individual will be responsible for compiling, editing, finalizing, and submitting accurate client invoices while partnering closely with attorneys, staff, and clients. The ideal candidate brings strong law firm billing experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage high invoice volumes with accuracy.

Responsibilities

Process and manage all phases of legal billing, including invoice edits, finalization, and posting

Prepare and submit electronic bills (e-billing) and resolve rejections or discrepancies

Handle/deposit cash/check payments and reconcile pa

Ensure compliance with client fee agreements (hourly, flat fee + costs, discounts, split billing, etc.)

Handle a high volume of monthly invoices with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency

Collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants to incorporate billing revisions as needed

Track and monitor invoice status and provide regular reporting updates

Utilize legal billing and accounting software to maintain accurate financial records

Support additional accounting or special projects as assigned

Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications

3+ years of legal billing and e-billing experience within a law firm

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and staff Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Clio or similar legal billing software

Prior experience in a boutique or small-to-mid-sized law firm environment
