Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Pinellas Park, Florida. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to support a growing organization with dynamic accounting needs. Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory-related transactions.

Process a high volume of vendor invoices and credit card transactions with accuracy.

Locate and organize receipts while ensuring proper general ledger coding.

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain precise financial records.

Assist in month-end close activities, ensuring timely completion of all accounting tasks.

Perform bank reconciliations, particularly as accounts transition to a new banking structure.

Collaborate with leadership to address evolving business needs and improve accounting processes.

Contribute to organizing and structuring the accounting function in a growing organization.

Support inventory accounting and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and month-end close.

Strong knowledge of general ledger coding and transaction processing.

Experience in a small company, startup, or fast-paced environment is highly advantageous.

Ability to work independently and adapt to limited structure or evolving processes.

Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Familiarity with inventory accounting and bank reconciliations is preferred.

Proficiency in systems like Odoo or similar is helpful but not required.
