Overview
PLEASE NOTE: This is a remote position. In accordance with CHLA policy, candidates must establish primary residency in California prior to their start date.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is on a multi-year transformation journey to improve the quality, effectiveness, and convenience of care delivery, through the creation and delivery of innovative products. Under the direction of the VP, Chief Digital & Transformation Officer and Director of Operational Transformation, the Transformation team will innovate and develop new products and deliver them to key end-users within CHLA through multiple channels. These initiatives are aligned with key strategic enterprise priorities for CHLA.
The Manager, Programs Sr. will:
Lead and execute key operational transformation initiatives to drive measurable improvements in productivity, performance, efficiency, and margins through the optimization of people, process, and innovative technology.
Provide oversight and strategic direction to Product Managers, ensuring that product development aligns with CHLA's transformation goals.
Support training and capability building for Product Managers on key operational concepts, including data-driven decision-making, change management, stakeholder engagement, and product management methodologies.
Prioritize and align transformation initiatives with CHLA's enterprise strategy, ensuring effective resource allocation and execution of high-impact projects.
Serve as a thought partner to the VP, Chief Digital & Transformation Officer, and Director of Operational Transformation, shaping CHLA's transformation strategy by identifying new opportunities for innovation and optimizing the deployment of operational transformation products.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
5+ years of professional experience in Healthcare Performance Improvement/Operations and/or Healthcare Product Management.
Supervisory experience.
Preferred:
Critical Thinking: Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, decision-making.
Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to work across departments, engage leadership, and drive alignment with CHLA's strategic goals.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: Ability to leverage data analytics to drive improvements and measure success.
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong experience managing change, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring adoption of new processes.
Understanding of Clinical Workflows: Experience working in a hospital setting that has led to familiarity with how care is delivered in a hospital, including patient journeys, reimbursement economics, provider needs, and operational challenges.
End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management: Experience in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and iteration.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or scientific field with 5+ years' experience from an accredited college or university required. Master's degree in the field of public health, healthcare administration, or business administration preferred.
Pay Scale Information
$99,008.00-$169,728.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
