As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU driver policy requirements, and an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with transit staff and public agencies as needed.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.

Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, monitoring entry points, and documenting authorized access per site procedures.

Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.

Possess an armed guard card/license.

Be 21 or more years of age.

Have a 40 caliber endorsement.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
