Overview
Under the direction of the USU Eastern Director of Campus Life, the Housing Resident Advisor (RA) is a student leadership position responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaged residential community. This is a 4-month, live-in contracted position with primary responsibilities focused on community building within Housing.
Compensation includes a private room, meal plan, and a monthly stipend. Resident Advisors are expected to work between 2-10 hours per week and are eligible for additional scholarships as well as other part-time employment opportunities on campus. This position will begin on August 11, 2026.
Responsibilities
Serve on an on-call team with other Resident Advisors/Hall Directors.
Perform Health and Safety Checks
Report any incidents
Build relationships with residents and be a resource to them
Assist in the opening and closing of Residence Halls
Stay for the duration of the Spring semester to complete the check-out process
Making contact with prospective students through email, phone calls, and text.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Enrolled as a student at USU Eastern
Have no active or pending conduct sanctions through the Director of Students Office
Dependable
Good communication skills

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.
