As a Security Officer Patrol Retail Town Center in Foothill Ranch, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

The property we patrol in the vehicle and on foot patrol

Officers will conduct continuous patrols of the entire property using the assigned patrol vehicle.

Vehicle patrol responsibilities include:

Driving through all parking lots, drive lanes, and access roads
Monitoring tenant spaces, entrances, and surrounding areas
Observing for suspicious activity or individuals
Checking for property damage, hazards, or maintenance concerns. Reporting when found.
Maintaining a strong visible security presence

Vehicle Speed Requirement

While patrolling the property, officers must not exceed 15 MPH at any time.

Driving slowly allows officers to properly observe their surroundings and maintain a safe environment for pedestrians and tenants.

Foot Patrol Responsibilities

Vehicle patrol must be supplemented with consistent foot patrols throughout the shift.

Foot patrols must include:
Walking around the exterior of each building
Checking behind buildings
Inspecting low visibility areas
Checking service corridors and walkways
Monitoring stairwells and entrances when applicable
Observing for unauthorized individuals

Foot patrols help identify issues that may not be visible from the vehicle.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Day Time

Fri11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Sat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.

Monitor entrances, storefront corridors, and high-traffic areas to help support order, assist with directional questions, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.

Assist with closing procedures, incident reporting, and coordination with local authorities and/or emergency personnel when appropriate, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Customer service experience is preferred.

The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
