Solar Construction Manager (Utility-Scale Projects)

Location: Candidates can live anywhere, open to candidates across the U.S. - 100% travel required

Employment Type: Long-term contract-to-hire

Salary: $90,000 - $95,000 + daily per diem

Travel Perks: 100% of All flights, hotels, and rental truck are paid for; in addition to a daily food per diem of $80

About the Role

Join a leading solar tracking manufacturer and installation firm as a Solar Construction Manager, where you'll serve as a subject matter expert overseeing and/or instructing subcontracting construction companies in the installation of large-scale solar tracker systems across the country. This is a high-impact role for professionals with hands-on experience in utility-scale solar construction and a passion for delivering quality and safety.

What You'll Do

Lead and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring timely and high-quality installations of solar tracking systems.

Collaborate with subcontractors, electricians, and labor crews to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and maintain safety compliance.

Interpret mechanica and electrical schematics to support installation workflows.

Conduct and document safety meetings in alignment with OSHA standards.

Support project planning including material takeoffs, sequencing, and subcontractor scope reviews.

Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment and transparency.

Provide technical guidance on electrical and mechanical components to field teams.

What We're Looking For

4+ years of experience in utility-scale solar construction, with 2+ years in a leadership role (Superintendent, Lead Foreman, or QC Manager).

Strong understanding of solar tracker systems - hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction reporting tools.

Excellent problem-solving and construction math skills.

Proven leadership and client relationship management.

Willingness to travel nationwide up to 100% of the time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
